EZTest® Gas is a self-contained biological indicator consisting of a sealed glass ampoule containing a proprietary soybeancasein digest broth with a pH indicator and a paper carrier inoculated with a sterilization-resistant spore population; both enclosed in a clear polypropylene molded body with a Type I process indicator on the label. When the ampoule is crushed and incubated at the appropriate temperature, the organism can grow. The physical characteristic showing growth is a color change from red to or toward yellow and/or turbidity.
