SterilAmp II® 5230 Biological Indicator for Low Temperature Steam

SterilAmp II® 5230 is a small, sealed, glass ampoule containing a prepared media of Soybean-Casein Digest Broth and a pH indicator which is inoculated with sterilization-resistant spores. When the ampoule is incubated at the appropriate temperature, the organism will grow. The physical characteristic showing growth is a color change from red/orange to or toward yellow and/or turbidity.

SterilAmp II 5230 is a compact, self-contained biological indicator used to monitor the efficacy of low temperature (110 – 118°C) steam sterilization of liquids.
